m curious as to what image Real Madrid are trying to re-establish as I always thought their pre-Jose image was one of a bunch of a classless bullies tapping up whoever they wanted while living it large on borrowed money they're never going to pay back.

Very true, it's hilarious how often commentators will just completely ignore him. Just in the past few weeks there was his through ball to Evra vs Madrid when Varane (I think) clearly fouled Evra as the last man, both commentators ignored the inch perfect pass and started with ''...And Evra runs on to it'' and then Vs Norwich the pass he played to Rooney who then cut in and passed Kagawa, again both commentators didn't even mention the 40 yard pass that started the move. Even in the mailbox, more people mailed in to mention Mata's sublime control and shot yet that didn't even go in, Carrick's wonderball actually led to a goal! It has to be because he just goes about his business with little fuss, he needs to start assaulting people in pubs or shagging someone he shouldn't, or become another nationality and grow a beard.
