The heavy snow and freezing conditions which have hit the UK in the past 36 hours have led to numerous football fixtures being postponed.

Of the 11 League One fixtures scheduled for Saturday, four have fallen foul of the weather, with the games at Colchester, Crawley, Sheffield United and Shrewsbury being called off.

And in League Two, the picture is even worse, with six games falling foul of the conditions, at Bradford, Burton, Chesterfield, Port Vale, Rochdale and Rotherham.

The World Cup qualifier between Northern Ireland and Russia in Belfast, which was moved to Saturday from Friday night due to snow, has now been postponed for a second time.
