Reina, the Reds' first-choice keeper, has missed their last two games with a calf problem with Brad Jones deputising in the win against Tottenham and surprise defeat at Southampton.

Carragher, who had been keeping Martin Skrtel out of the side with some vintage performances at centre-half, missed the match at St Mary's earlier this month with a shin injury.

However, both are now back in full training with first-team coach Mike Marsh telling the club's website: "They're both available for selection."

Marsh also confirmed that the majority of the squad have returned to Melwood with no fresh injury concerns following the latest round of international fixtures.

"We seem to have come through unscathed," he added.

"We've got one or two players missing who are flying back from international duty.

"They will arrive back tomorrow, they will still be in recovery and hopefully they will train on Friday."

alcao really needs to shine now. Apparently according to the stats, he scores more when played up front alone. I wonder if Van Gaal will actually apply a formation to get the best out of him though.
