Paul Ince: Took over as Blackpool manager in February

Reports in the national press have suggested Ince, 45, could be heading to the King Power Stadium as a replacement for current City boss Nigel Pearson.

The pressure is mounting on Pearson after a defeat to Barnsley on Monday saw them drop out of the Championship play-off places.

But Ince, who has only been Blackpool boss since February, rejected claims he would become the third boss to quit Bloomfield Road this season.

"As far as I'm concerned, my job is here at Blackpool. I'm enjoying it," Ince told the Blackpool Gazette. "I want to get to that 54-point mark and move this club forward.

"There was a situation, maybe four years ago, when Leicester tried to take me. I felt then it wasn't the right time.

"I presume this time they are putting two and two together and coming back with five.

"It's nice to be linked with clubs, don't get me wrong, but this club needs stability. It needs to stabilise."

Ince replaced Michael Appleton at Blackpool after the former Pompey boss ended his 65-day reign at Bloomfield Road to take the Blackburn job.

Appleton succeeded Ian Holloway, who left Blackpool to become manager of Crystal Palace.

Ince has lost only two of his eight games so far with the Lancashire club, who remain in a relegation battle three points above the bottom three.
