A new inquest was ordered in December when a panel of High Court judges quashed the original verdicts of accidental death.

Ninety-six Liverpool fans died in a crush at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough stadium during the 1989 FA Cup semi-final.

A damning report last September, compiled by the Hillsborough Independent Panel, laid bare a cover-up which attempted to shift the blame for the tragedy on to its victims.

The report also found that almost half of the victims could potentially have been saved had they received earlier treatment.

Families of the 96 have always challenged the original inquest, which concluded their relatives were dead or brain dead 15 minutes after the game against Nottingham Forest had kicked off.

Lord Justice Goldring has been appointed the coroner and will hear from families at the London hearing about where and when they want a new inquest to take place.

icky van Wolfswinkel's remarkable record of one goal from one game at least deserves an honourable mention. And I'm willing to bet that at least one of Costa, Ulloa or Enner Valencia will earn a place on the list by the end of the season. Probably not Costa
