Stanislav Manolev: On-loan Fulham defender would be happy to extend stay

The Bulgaria international has made just four appearances for the Cottagers since joining in January due to the recent form of fellow full back Sascha Riether.

The 27-year-old has remained positive with Fulham, who have the option to make his deal permanent in the summer, and he would relish the opportunity to remain at Craven Cottage.

"I'm really enjoying it - this is the best competition in the world," Manolev told the Fulham Chronicle.

"I like London too, so of course I would like to stay, but it depends on the clubs.

"I still have one more year left at PSV, so the clubs have to talk."

The 27-year-old, whose natural position is right-back, has played on the wing for Fulham in recent weeks.

Manolev insists he's happy to play anywhere on the pitch and has complete confidence in manager Martin Jol's decisions.

"It's important to play, it doesn't matter where," he added. "The coach makes the decision where he's going to use me, so I don't have any problems."

This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
