Sky Sports understands Charlton striker Danny Haynes is set to leave the Valley this summer.

Danny Haynes: Available on a free transfer

Haynes' contract expires next month and although Charlton were hoping to keep hold of the 25-year-old, they have been forced to let him go as they look to trim their squad.

The news is a blow for Charlton as Haynes has impressed at The Valley since arriving from Barnsley in January 2012.

Haynes helped the Addicks win promotion to the Championship last term and he also played a key role in helping them secure their Championship status this season.

News of Haynes' availability on a free transfer has alerted a number of Championship clubs, with the former Ipswich and Bristol City man having scored seven goals in 20 appearances this season.
