Holman has opted to leave Villa, just 12 months after joining the club on a Bosman transfer from AZ Alkmaar.

The 29-year-old was signed by Alex McLeish, but was never managed by him as Paul Lambert took charge before he joined the club.

But despite not being signed by Lambert, he did feature in nearly 30 league games last term, starting some 16 games.

However, with Villa already bolstering their squad with five new players this summer - it was always likely that they would be looking to sell, and Holman is one of the first to depart.

Al Nasr confirmed on their website that terms were agreed, and now the player only needs to pass a medical to finalise the deal.
