The new league set-up was finally rubber-stamped late on Thursday night at Hampden after talks between the boards of the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League which spanned around 15 hours.

The set-up will see the current 12-10-10-10 structure remain, under one organisation, with the introduction of play-offs and a new financial redistribution model.
