Djibril Cisse: Scored 10 goals for QPR

The France striker has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent and will become a free agent on July 1.

Cisse, who joined the club from Lazio during 2012's January transfer window, scored 10 goals in 29 appearances.

The 31-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan to Qatari club Al-Gharafa.

Cisse has expressed a desire to return to his native France and he had been strongly linked with 2011/12 Ligue 1 champions Montpellier.

Reports had claimed that personal terms had already been agreed on a potential switch, but those rumours were strongly denied by Montpellier president Louis Nicollin.

Nicollin told Midi Libre: "Cisse? No, it is out of the question. I don't want a guy who plays DJ in bars.

"It will not be Cisse or anyone else. We will play with (Emanuel) Herrera and (Gaetan) Charbonnier who are already at our club.

"We don't need forwards, it is in defence that we need to take care of matters."

t all started going downhill when they started putting a photo of the writer along side their story. Journalists started to think that 'they' are the story, rather than what they write. Smug, self obsessed & up their own arse's. That sums up the majority of newspaper sports reporters.

he reason so much sh*t is written about football is because there are so many people who want to read sh*t about football. Now shut up, take my money, and tell me Ronaldo is going to sign for Van Haal and that Mick McCarthy is signing Peter Crouch on loan.
