Spurs lost 4-2 in the corresponding fixture at White Hart Lane last term but have started the new campaign in fine form and go into the weekend clash full of confidence.

Having cruised to a 4-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday, Sandro has challenged his team-mates to turn in another strong performance.

"Chelsea is a great game and everyone is looking forward to it," Sandro said on the club's official website.

"Last season we lost at home and this season we're determined to win. We have to play like we played at Villa. Let's try and take this big win."

Sandro made his first start alongside Paulinho in the win at Villa, and he has been impressed by how his fellow Brazilian has settled into English football.

"It was my first time to play with Paulinho and he's amazing," he added. "He's on fire at the moment. I'm so glad for him and everyone enjoyed this moment."

worry about these types of conclusions on a teams brilliance when it was very clear that Argentina had 4 chances where they really should have scored and on chances alone then it would have been the more pragmatic Argentinians who would be the best in the world. I like the Germany team but this just shows that even with planning it relies on a great deal of luck and finding your opponents at just the right time.

e all know the British public don't have the patience to plan for 14 years. No chance. As soon as our young players don't win the world cup they get harrassed and abused to the point of mental breakdown. No, England likes to react to failure by sacking the manager and tearing up their best laid plans in favour of something shiny and new to keep the knee jerkers happy.
