Kyle Walker: Thinks Tottenham can finish in the top four

Though Spurs lost Gareth Bale over the summer, Andre Villas-Boas significantly bolstered his squad by signing the likes of Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela.

The new arrivals have created optimism that Spurs can finish in the top four this season after just missing out during Villas-Boas' first year as manager.

Spurs slipped out of the top four at the weekend after a 3-0 home defeat by West Ham United checked their promising start to the campaign.

However, Walker believes it is too early to be making predictions about where Spurs will finish after being left impressed by the new boys.

"It's a bit too early to be talking about where we can be at the end," Walker is quoted in The Sun.

"But if we keep playing to our strengths, then I see no reason we cannot make the top four.

"We've made a lot of changes to the squad during the summer. But everyone who has come in has fitted in really well. All the lads get along and that really helps.

"We've signed quality and the more we get used to playing as a team, the better we are going to get."

e'll be fine, no problem. If they do get relegated, he's definitely going to ask how anyone could ever have thought that Villa were going to be fine given their problems before he came.

toke though. Hmn. I don't think it was defending that made people dislike Stoke so much as the out and out cheating/nastiness they regularly displayed. That, and they kept buying the odd flair player and then ruining them (Oh! Tuncay, what were you thinking?).

ell that really inspires me with confidence. No point in training, deciding on a coherent formation, or playing players in their best positions, let's just hope we get lucky.
