Wilfried Bony: Has been linked with a January move to Chelsea

The Ivory Coast international is the top scorer in the Eredivisie so far this season with 12 goals and is thought to have attracted interest from the Blues.

Chelsea are reportedly looking to strengthen their attacking options, with Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge the only senior strikers available up front.

Bony is contracted at Vitesse until 2015 but would be open to a winter switch to West London should Chelsea make a move.

The former Sparta Prague frontman told Czech daily Pravo: "It's not the number one topic for me at the moment, but if they write about me going there, then it's great isn't it?

"But seriously, if they want me, it would be a great honour. I would be glad to go to such a club.

"I love English football and wouldn't be afraid to play there. Chelsea are a top club."

Asked about joining Roberto Di Matteo's side in January, Bony added: "If Chelsea are interested in the winter and the clubs reach an agreement, then why not?

"We'll see what happens. At the moment I want to be playing as well as I can for Vitesse.

"I know that Chelsea and Arnhem are close and some of the Chelsea lads are here on loan, including Tomas (Kalas). I have discussed it with him many times already."

Advice

Bony, who has also been linked with an Aston Villa move, says he has not discussed a potential switch to Chelsea with his Ivory Coast team-mates and former Blues duo Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou.

He added: "No, we haven't at all. But if I wanted to know anything I'm sure they would advise me.

"They are normal guys who don't act like superstars. I have been learning from them."
