Derek Boateng: Hoping to seal deal with Fulham after work permit hearing

The Premier League outfit have been leading the chase for the midfielder for a number of months and they are now hopeful of sealing a deal for the 29-year-old.

Boateng is currently playing in Ukraine with Dnipro, but he and his family are far from settled and are eager to move to England.

The former Getafe star was close to moving to the Premier League in the summer of 2011 before joining Dnipro, but a deal with West Brom failed to materialise.

As a teenager Boateng was poised to join Middlesbrough, but that was before he became a full international and he did not qualify for a work permit at that stage.
