Having missed out on 'one or two' deals in January, the Swans plan to return to the negotiating table when the window re-opens.
Jenkins is confident quality additions can be made and hopes he and Michael Laudrup will be able to complete business early, offering new recruits as long as possible to settle into their new surroundings before the 2013/14 campaign gets underway.
He told the South Wales Evening Post: "Michael and I looked weeks ago at what we felt we need to do in January and one of the things he wanted sooner rather than later was to sign Roland Lamah.
"We got that done as early as we could, and there were one or two other things which we worked on behind the scenes.
"Ideally we might have got the players in during January, but in a couple of cases the players who we felt were right for us wanted to stay with their current clubs until the summer.
"We will review the situation then, but they are things we have worked on and we feel we have put ourselves in a good position.
"Hopefully, when the transfer window opens again, we can get things done quickly. Hopefully we can make sure we get our squad together before our pre-season trip - that's our aim."
With Swansea having allowed Danny Graham to head for Sunderland during the winter window, Jenkins concedes that a new frontman will be towards the top of Laudrup's summer shopping list.
He added: "I think nearly every club who are aiming to compete at the top end of the Premier League will be looking for forwards who can add something different.
"We will be looking to go down that road, and Michael is confident we can get the players we want in the summer."
