Sandro: Is happy to stay at Tottenham for now

The 23-year-old moved to White Hart Lane from Brazilian side Internacional for a fee of £8million in the summer of 2010.

He quickly became a firm fixture in the heart of the Spurs midfield, first under Harry Redknapp and then under current manager Andre Villas-Boas.

His season was cut short in January when he suffered a serious knee injury against QPR at Loftus Road, though he hopes to be fit in time for the start of the new campaign in August.

The defensive midfielder has been linked with a move to Italy in the past, despite signing a new contract in 2011 that ties him at Tottenham until 2016.

Sandro himself has admitted previously that Serie A interests him, though when again asked about his immediate future he stressed he is happy to stay in north London.

"A future in Italy for me? Right now my goal is to recover and think about my team Tottenham," Sandro told fcinternews.it.

"Italy has one of the toughest leagues in the world and all players want to play in a league of that level.

"But the Premier League has some of the best players in the world and I feel happy to play in England."

s it the same people that complain about Chelsea that complain about Mayweather? You should by now know what to expect from both, if you can't appreciate how good they are at nullifying their opponents then don't watch them.

do concede though, that getting rid of Luiz has made them less entertaining. In the same way that driving with both eyes open is less exciting, but probably a good idea.
