Steve Clarke: Could extend his stay at West Brom

Clarke, who will enter the final 12 months of his initial two-year deal in July, had earlier in the week been linked with a return to Chelsea as part of Jose Mourinho's backroom staff should the Portuguese manager also return to the club.

Clarke said: "I work every day while I am under contract and I don't expect

anything.

"I just come in every day and do the job as best I can.

"I don't sit wondering or contemplating what might happen in the future.

"I just work with the contract I've got and I'm comfortable."

But, when pressed on whether he wanted to extend his agreement with the Baggies, Clarke said: "If it's offered to me then I would speak about it."

West Brom entertain Wigan at The Hawthorns on Saturday in the Premier League.
