Marco van Ginkel: Expected to be on the move this summer

The Blues have been chasing the Vitesse Arnhem starlet for some time but have yet to reach an agreement and have seen his impressive showings for Holland at the European Under-21 Championship raise his profile and inflate his valuation.

Chelsea were reported to be locked in discussions with Vitesse regarding a deal, with Jose Mourinho keen to add the promising 20-year-old to his Stamford Bridge ranks.

The transfer flames were then fanned further when quotes attributed to Van Ginkel's agent suggested that he had held positive talks with Mourinho.

Karel Jansen has, however, distanced himself from those comments and maintains that his client is prepared to be patient and wait for the best offer to present itself.

He said in the Evening Standard: "Nothing is sure. There is interest but it is not the time for all parties to say something about it.

"A lot of things are being said and written and it's a bit chaotic.

"From our side, we are just keeping quiet and we will see what happens."

ever ceases to amaze me when ex players come out with comments like that. Clearly they have zero interest in the best interests of a club that provided them with a living to be making such idiotic and boorish comments as that. Shame on you Jimmy Case.
