Gonalons will stay at Lyon, insists the club chairman

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder is reportedly wanted by the Gunners and Serie A giants Napoli - and Aulas admits Lyon have already received several bids for their club captain.

He said: "Unfortunately there are several clubs that made offers, one of them superior to £13m Euros. But, he is part of our strategy. And with that I know, Maxime wants to stay at Lyon."

On the future of another midfielder who may be heading for the Premier League, Yoann Gourcuff, Aulas added: "Yoann is part of the players that have had no real success at Lyon.

"We didn't recieve an offer for him, but we had talks about a possible departure."

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
