Jonny Evans: The defender says Manchester United are relishing their tough start

David Moyes, who marked his first game in charge with a 4-1 win at Swansea, had previously criticised the fixture list as his men face a tricky run of games which sees them take on Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City within the space of a month.

Evans is currently sidelined having aggravated an ankle injury in pre-season, but he believes that the difficult opening matches could work to United's advantage.

"It might not be a bad thing to get straight into the tough games," he told Inside United.

"We've been waiting all summer to get stuck back into it, so why not bring on the hard games straight away?

"In any competition you always want a good start and the Premier League is no different. A winning start will obviously help you later on, but it's more important how you finish the season."
