Samuel Eto'o: Linked with moves to Inter Milan & Chelsea

Chelsea are thought to be rivalling Inter for Eto'o with the striker expected to leave Anzhi Makhachkala due to their financial problems.

Eto'o is a big fans' favourite at Inter after helping them win the treble in 2010 and Moratti is not ruling out a deal for the Cameroon international

"Eto'o? We'll see what happens next week," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.

Inter coach Walter Mazzarri was remaining tight-lipped on the prospect of Eto'o returning to the club.

"Eto'o arrives? It's not my place to speak," noted Mazzarri. "I'm happy to coach the team I have right now and we'll see what the market says."

Meanwhile, Moratti has played down reports that Sunday's match with Genoa would be his last game as president of the club.

Indonenisian businessman Erick Thohir is poised to take control of Inter, but Moratti insists a takeover deal has not been agreed yet.

"I don't like saying that and I don't think so, anyway," added Moratti

"Yes, I am emotional, but the way I always am before an Inter match that starts the season. We haven't reached an agreement yet.

"If we do, then that's fine. If we don't, then nothing will be done. My desire is to do things properly, then we'll see if it's enough."

Barcelona transfer ban upheld

h Daniel. I could spend hours on this subject putting the world to rights. You can even take a step back and ask why football fans (and society in general) have this need to know that something will happen before it actually does. There are times this important, when it comes to things like war, food production and natural disasters. A man you've never met changing his job? Not so much.

reat article. Hits the nail on the head. Encapsulates why I don't read tabloid newspapers anymore. The only thing worse is the 'told you so first' headline when they get lucky.
