Vlad Chiriches: Could make his debut this weekend

The Romanian captain completed his move from Steaua Bucharest shortly before deadline day.

However, the 23-year-old has only been able to train since his £8.5million move was completed whilst Spurs worked on his permit.

Chiriches was again forced to watch from the sidelines as Spurs' season continued with a 3-0 win over Tromso in the Europa League on Thursday, but he is now set to be in contention to make his debut at Cardiff on Sunday.

"I think it has arrived today," Villas-Boas said after their clash with Tromso.

"So hopefully everything can be concluded."
