Wilfried Bony: Aware that Swansea need to start picking up points

The Swans saw their winless streak in Premier League competition stretched to seven games on Saturday as they went down 2-0 at Manchester United.

Michael Laudrup's men remain 13th in the top-flight standings, but an untimely wobble means just three points separate them from the drop zone.

Bony admits that they need to find a spark from somewhere, and believes back-to-back outings on home soil against London opposition could be crucial in shaping their season.

The Ivorian striker said in the Daily Mirror: "We have to bounce back and get some points in the league.

"The next two matches at home against Tottenham and Fulham give us that opportunity.

"It's important we get something from those games as the gap between the bottom three and ourselves isn't much now."

Bony believes Swansea can take positives from their most recent outing at Old Trafford, despite being unable to repeat their FA Cup heroics six days on from a famous 2-1 win.

He added: "We did well in the first half. We were pleased with our performance as a team.

"We kept the ball very well and it gave us a lot of hope for the second half, just like it did last week in the FA Cup tie.

"But they started the second half quickly as a team. They got the goal and it raised the crowd and the team, and they raised their game."
