Ashley Cole: Set to become a free agent at the end of the season

The England international is yet to agree an extension to his current contract at Stamford Bridge and will become a free agent next summer if no fresh terms are put in place.

Chelsea are believed to be willing to put a one-year offer to Cole, but he is holding out for a longer deal.

The 31-year-old's future is now a subject of much debate, with it looking increasingly likely that he will be taking on a new challenge at the end of the season.

Ambitious Ligue 1 outfit PSG are known to be admirers of Cole and his mother has now revealed that a switch to the French capital could be on the cards, while seemingly ruling out the prospect of a move to Manchester United.

Sue Cole posted on Facebook: "Well looks like his going somewhere better hear than the talk of man u. Not too far on the Euro star x"
