Loic Remy: Attracting interest in England

Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham and Bundesliga outfit Schalke are all understood to have an interest in the highly-rated front-man.

Remy has always stated he would be keen on a move to England, but remains open-minded about his future plans.

Likewise, Sky Sports understands that Marseille are relaxed about Remy's future, whether that means him leaving in January or not.

The French side would like to keep the 25-year-old, but are open to a deal if the right offer is made.

Newcastle have had a long-standing interest in Remy, given their excellent scouting network in France.

Their interest in Remy has been heightened by the Demba Ba situation - which could see him leave the club in January if his release clause is met.

Remy, who is under contract at Marseille until 2015, has stressed that he is content at the French club.

He told his club's official website: "If I stay at Marseille, I will be the happiest man to be able to finish the season here.

"People talk about my departure, but we will see."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
