Romelu Lukaku: Keen to stay at West Brom

The Belgium international will be at Albion's disposal until at least the summer after his parent club opted not recall him.

Interim Blues boss Rafa Benitez instead strengthened his striking options by luring Demba Ba from Newcastle but Lukaku - a £19m signing from Anderlecht in 2011 - admits he is enjoying regular football in the Midlands.

"At this time I'm just looking at my own (situation) and West Brom. I don't really care about what Chelsea are doing at the moment," Lukaku, who scored twice against Reading on Saturday, said.

"The next two years will be good for me at West Brom. They will help me build up for a great career, that is for sure. Hopefully, after the January window, we will be able to start talking about that.

"We have a good squad. We have a manager who is very good, we've very good players that can help him every day and hopefully if I continue like this I will get more regular football.

"You have to be somewhere where you are connected with the people. You have to be in a good environment. Where I am now is similar to when I was in Anderlecht. That's why I have settled very well here. On the pitch, I want to win."

Meanwhile, West Brom boss Steve Clarke has insisted midfielder Graham Dorrans is the only senior player available to leave during the current transfer window.

Albion have already rejected bids from QPR for defender Jonas Olsson and striker Peter Odemwingie, and Clarke has no problem with clubs wanting to sign his players if they adhere to the correct procedures but believes they will be wasting their time.

Clarke said: "No one is for sale except Graham Dorrans. We don't want to sell anyone.

"The players know the situation. They know what's what at the club. I don't think anyone really wants to go anywhere.

"There are one or two who've not been involved a lot that will look to go out but that's normal in any squad. The boys are all happy here.

"You see it every day in training, the way they work, the appetite they've got for the game. More importantly, you see it on a matchday. You can tell the squad is in a good place."

As regards Dorrans, Clarke said: "Graham's position is exactly the same. If it's good for the club and good for Graham to do something in January, we will do it.

"If it's not, he will stay for the rest of the season and we will reassess the situation."

ood lord that's got me unnecessarily excited. Damn you Storey. Cut to Liverpool being crushed under the wheels of Sparky's Stoke Machine and Firmino brought off the bench to no effect. It's the hope that kills you.

think he'll do quite well. My only reservation would be Kagawa, who had similar stats to Firmino in the bundesliga before he came, but time will tell.
