Chelsea and Inter have been long-term admirers of the Brazilian schemer, with reports suggesting Inter are leading the chase to sign Paulinho.
Inter are thought to be trying to raise funds to make a move with Philippe Coutinho seemingly on his way to Liverpool.
However, Corinthians director of sport Roberto de Andrade has played down talk linking Paulinho with a move away before the close of the transfer window.
"At the moment, Inter have not made contact with us," Andrade told Calciomercato.it.
"I can assure you we have not received any offers from Italy, nor from Chelsea for our player."
Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni was remaining coy on the club's pursuit of Paulinho, but admitted they could sell some players to enable them to bring in new faces.
"I could let go of a player as long as another will arrive who can help the squad. Paulinho? I won't comment on names until the window closes," noted Stramaccioni.
