Yossi Benayoun: Feels he still has plenty to offer at Chelsea

The Israeli playmaker has struggled to hold down a regular role with the Blues since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2010.

He has taken in loan spells at Arsenal and West Ham United after finding himself out of favour, but no permanent move has materialised.

Benayoun is now looking to enjoy a productive end to the 2012/13 campaign and prove that he still has a future at the reigning European champions.

After making his first appearance since the opening game of last season in Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Reading, the experienced playmaker told Chelsea's official website: "I have been in four big clubs in England but the only one where I haven't really been able to show what I can do is Chelsea.

"That is because I got an Achilles injury and then I went on loan.

"Hopefully now there is the chance for me. It is a big squad, a lot of quality, but I will do my best and hopefully it will be enough."

Organised

Benayoun has also added his voice to those backing the claims of interim boss Rafa Benitez to be handed a full-time contract in the summer.

He added: "Rafa always puts out an organised team, they know what he wants and he brings his ideas and tactics to the team.

"It is not an easy situation for everyone, to come in the middle of the season, but I do believe there are the right players now for this team to fight for the trophies that are left and to do our best, and I am sure Rafa will bring 100 per cent out of everyone.

"We enjoy the training, we work hard and we love it but the most important are the results, and if we win games, everything will be much better."

e doesn't need a caoch. He needs a bus. A bloody big one, that he can park across the goal line. And when he gets one, he can do us a favour and let us know where we can buy one from as well.
