The title and relegation battles may be settled, but it is all still to play for in the fight to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal are favourites to record a victory at Newcastle which will see them secure Champions League football next season, while Tottenham are odds-on to keep up the pressure by beating Sunderland.

Yossi Benayoun has accused Chelsea of damaging Fernando Torres' career through their mismanagement of the striker.
m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.

@redgenesis. He'll never be a top player again. At any team. I'm lucky enough (!?) to be able to watch Chelsea play fairly regularly, which means I have managed to watch Torres live on many occassions over the past 2 years. Honestly he is rubbish. (relative to the level he is playing at). I have seen too many wasted chances , miscontrolled passes and him kicking it straight out of play (as he does quite often). The problem he has is he does not offer anything other than goals. so when he doens't score (most of the games he plays) then Chelsea are effectively playing with 10 men. He really is very bad.

He succumbed to the same injuries that hampered the likes of Michael Owen, his explosive pace is gone and he hasn't adapted his game. I don't think he'll ever reclaim a place as one of the best strikers in the world, unless he now tries to add a different dimension to his play.

I think his injury robbed him off that blinding acceleration he had. Once that was gone, he could no longer explode and he has struggled to chance his game to adapt to his new physical limitations. It also doesn't help that until this season Chelsea didn't have players or didn't play a system that suited his style of play.

Yossi is right. But that should be extended - he was badly managed at Liverpool, rushed back and played while still injured. Chelsea and their managerial merry-go-round, plus being second fiddle for the first time in his career (to Drogba), then being expected to play like him when he came on... it was nuts. And for me, he is still capable of being that top player. But he will never be that at Chelsea.

Oh Yossi, how can you be so blind. He was already a fading star toward the end of his Liverpool career, and can so many managers have mismanaged him, even though he's been given ample opportunity to show the 'real' Fernando Torres?
