Petr Cech: Praised by Chelsea team-mate Frank Lampard

Cech joined Chelsea from French club Rennes in 2004 since when he has collected three Premier League winners' medals plus another in the Champions League.

And the midfielder says the six-foot, five-inch Cech is also a leader in the dressing room, telling the London Standard: "I think it is too easy to overlook a goalkeeper's performance when they're that good.

"People talk about mistakes and things like that but his consistency and level in our team since he has been at the club has been amazing.

"He is a real presence, a great lad and a leader in the dressing room, everything about him is great.

"People talk about goalkeeper of the year and maybe overlook Petr. That's only because he's been so good that they take him for granted.

"Petr can go on for years, that's for sure. He is fit as a fiddle. He's only 30 so in goalkeeping years he's got a long way ahead of him."
