Jose Mourinho: Chelsea boss expects a tough game at Swansea

Mourinho's side have lost their last three away games against Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Paris St Germain.

A win for Swansea would virtually secure their top-flight status for another season, but with title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City meeting at Anfield, Chelsea will hope to take advantage in their pursuit of the Premier League.

Mourinho said: "They are a good team, they play good football. Especially at Swansea it is never easy and Chelsea knows that better than other teams.

"They still need the three points, they are not in big danger like other teams but they still need a couple of points to stay in the Premier League and of course they will try to get points out of this game."

Meanwhile, striker Demba Ba could be given a first league start since October after he scored the decisive goal in the Champions League win over PSG to send Chelsea into the semi-finals.

And Mourinho claims he is happy with the attitude of his fringe players, who are all focused on helping the team to success.

"People are working well and hard," Mourinho added. "The ones that are not playing so regular, all of them are being good professionals to try to be ready.

"You could see Demba as an example as a player who doesn't play a lot and was ready to try to respond.

"All of them, they were ready. They are a good group, they are good friends, they have a good relationship.

"I think when one of them goes onto the pitch he goes to help the other players."

ell that really inspires me with confidence. No point in training, deciding on a coherent formation, or playing players in their best positions, let's just hope we get lucky.

alcao really needs to shine now. Apparently according to the stats, he scores more when played up front alone. I wonder if Van Gaal will actually apply a formation to get the best out of him though.
