Suso: Has impressed since stepping up into the first team fold this season

The 19-year-old forward has been part of the set-up at Anfield since 2010, but he has had to be patient in his efforts to earn senior recognition.

Brendan Rodgers has offered him first team opportunities since taking to the managerial hot-seat, and Suso has responded with a number of assured displays.

His potential has since been rewarded with a new contract and recognition from the Spain U21 side, and the talented teenager admits things could not have gone any better for him over recent months.

"I feel like I a dreaming right now," Suso told the Liverpool Echo.

"I couldn't have believed this would all happen in such a short period.

"Things have happened really quick for me. From being with the reserves, to playing for the first team in the Europa League and then playing in the Premier League.

"I am playing for the first team every game now and lining up with massive players every week - it's been brilliant."

Important

He added: "To get called up by Spain U21s was also special but the most important thing for me that has happened was signing the new contract.

"It means I'll be here for this season and two more after that. I always wanted to stay here and play for this club for a long time. Signing the contract was a great moment for me.

"This has been the best year ever for me so far. I hope it keeps going like this."
