Fabio Borini: Says his foot is feeling good following surgery in October

The Italian has been sidelined since suffering a fracture to his foot in October which required surgery, but he is making good progress in his recovery.

He was at the Stadio Friuli to watch Liverpool beat Udinese 1-0 in the Europa League on Thursday, and provided an upbeat fitness bulletin.

"I'm quite good now - working hard every day," the 21-year-old told the club's official website.

"The foot is very good and on Monday I see the surgeon to sort out the screws and see if they are taken out or not. On 26 December, I'll be back in Liverpool.

"I feel strong, I'm working a lot on the other muscles. I'll start working on my ankle and foot, which is better, and my calf is a lot better. The foot always responds very well so that's confident."

Borini should be back in action by the time Liverpool resume their Europa League campaign in February, and he admits he would love to face Inter Milan or Napoli.

"It's always special when I'm back in Italy to see my team play," said Borini. "I feel a little bit sad watching my team-mates play but I'll support them.

"I'll be able to play and it will be a great experience for us as a young team for Liverpool to be one of the last teams in Europe. We could meet Italian teams, which would be great."

put Ince in my fantasy football team, so it's no surprise at all really. I do that to players. Also responsible for De Jong and Upson being injured. Think I'll transfer in Di Maria just to ruin United....
