Not sure about the translation but if he said this, sorry son, it's time to go! Rule number one - don't tell tales out of school.

Well Martin, hate to say it .. but despite the wins you were involved in, the teams you were facing weren't as good as Man United, who took advantage of your failings - failings that had been masked by clean sheets/victories until then. Jamie Carragher has been showing you up since he was reinstated. A very good defender when on form, but pretty disappointing so far this season.

The most pertinent point out of this is that it appears that Skrtel doesn't trust Rodgers. That's a concern. Skrtel not being in the team every week isn't, although next year with no Carragher would be more of a concern unless a fine replacement is sourced! I have been impressed with Skrtel in the past couple of years, however my initial assessment from when he started playing regularly for the club as "a good back-up centre-back" is still nagging at being the summary of his importance to the team. But as stated, he's important as one of only 3 senior centre-halves come June.

I've never heard of a footballer - especially one who speaks English as a second language - say something like "the question is if I would be in the team if I was fit; I would say it's likelier I wouldn't."

cogs (Liverpool) says...

"Anyway, I'm not the type of player who would be chasing the coach and be in his office all the time, asking for explanations why I'm not playing. I have never done this, I'm not doing it now and I never will be." No Martin, you'll just blab away to the media instead...bellend

markarogers (Liverpool) says...

"I'm not thinking about leaving" "I have had thoughts about my situation" "I'm going to fight for my place in the team" "I'm not going to rush into any crazy decision, but I'm going to get my agent involved". Ahhh, footballer-speak, bullsh*t at its absolute finest.
