Brendan Rodgers will hope for a good start to the campaign on 17 August as he bids to return his club to the top four.

Liverpool, who have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, then visit Aston Villa before hosting arch-rivals Manchester United prior to the end of August.

Liverpool make the short trip to Everton on 23 November for the first Merseyside derby of the season while Boxing Day brings a difficult game at Manchester City.

Rodgers' team will also take on Jose Mourinho's Chelsea on 28 December while a return meeting with Everton comes one month later.

Liverpool end the season on 11 May by hosting Newcastle United in a fixture which has been a Premier League classic over the years.
