Dieumerci Mbokani: Was keen on a move to England, but is off to Ukraine

Premier League sides are known to have expressed an interest in the Congolese striker as he sought a summer switch away from Anderlecht.

West Bromwich Albion were believed to be in the hunt, while Liverpool also made a tentative approach.

Mbokani was prepared to admit that a move to England held the greater appeal to him, but he claims to have no regrets at having decided to head for Ukraine instead.

He said: "I am not sad not to be going to England. I am joining a big club in Dynamo and I am looking forward to that.

"Liverpool did not show enough for me and nor did the other English clubs.

"I now want to score many goals with Dynamo. I want to be remembered like (Andriy) Shevchenko.

"Dynamo has to win the league back. Next season we have to be in the Champions League and be a force to be reckoned with."

ew Shaun Wright Phillips, there I've said it. If any club offers stupid money we'd be stupid to say no, he's not a potential worldie by any stretch and I feel that after a few years warming the bench at city or Chelsea he'll be back at QPR smoking sheesha pipes under Harry Redknapp.

f Klopp is available and willing to go there, they have to sign him up. Far better manager than Rodgers. The reason Liverpool fail in so many big games is the inflexible nature of their manager and his inability to find strikers who fit into his inflexible style of play. A feature of nearly every game that the team comes up short is the way the opposition midfield appears to overpower them. It's too easy.

est player award should not go to a player who's second best at all the importent categories (i.e goals, assists etc) just because his team is at the top. If you are not first you are last; if you're second you are the first loser ( looking at you Hazard). David De Gea for POTY.
