Luis Suarez: Misses trip to Norway

The Uruguay international continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield, with Arsenal having had two bids for him rejected.

An initial bid of around £30m and a subsequent one of £40m + £1 were both turned down and Suarez remains a Liverpool player.

But he will not be travelling to Scandinavia with the rest of the squad and will instead undergo a scan on his foot.

He will not be the only one in the Liverpool treatment room though, with manager Brendan Rodgers also forced to leave three other players behind.

Defenders Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel and Glen Johnson will all remain on Merseyside after picking up knocks, with Rodgers naming a 21-man squad for the game.

Liverpool squad: Jones, Enrique, Toure, Alberto, Gerrard, Aspas, Coutinho, Assaidi, Henderson, Coates, Downing, Spearing, Lucas, Mignolet, Allen, Borini, Sterling, Kelly, Flanagan, Ibe, Wisdom.
