Johan Djourou: Wanted in Germany

Djourou has been with Arsenal since he was 16 after joining from Etoile Carouge, and has made nearly 150 appearances for the Gunners.

The 25-year-old currently finds himself way down the pecking order at the Emirates and Hannover are hoping they can finalise a loan move.

"We are interested in the services of Johan Djourou, we are also in detailed talks with the player and his club," Hannover general manager Jorg Schmadtke confirmed.

"Johan Djourou has told us during those talks he is willing to just accept a deal to bring him over to our club."

Hannover are keen to take Djourou, who has two years left on his current deal, on a loan deal with a view to that becoming permanent in the summer.

m absolutely disgusted that I've been misquoted in saying that if a chance came up to join Arsenal I would be interested. What I meant to say is if Man United or Chelsea were interested......
