Wojciech Szczesny: Happy with saves against Sunderland but knows he must work ha

Szczesny pulled off a couple of fine saves to help the Gunners to a 1-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday, but he was not entirely satisfied with his performance.

He has made a few mistakes this season and appreciates that he must improve, particularly when dealing with crosses.

"I made a couple of saves that helped the team win the game and I'm happy for that but there is a lot of work still to be done," Szczesny said in the Daily Mirror.

"I still struggled a little bit on crosses so I would have been happier with a faultless performance."

Szczesny is confident that Arsenal can push on from their win at the Stadium of Light and enjoy a strong finish to the season.

He added: "We showed people we have what it takes to be successful and showed character and desire to get the result."

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
