Seamus Coleman tangles with Aaron Ramsey as Arsenal draw 0-0 with Everton

The Wales international was asked to fill a number of roles on the flanks by manager Arsene Wenger earlier in the campaign, but is now back in the Gunners' engine room.

The North London club are battling it out with Chelsea, Tottenham and Everton for another top-four finish, with Ramsey setting up Olivier Giroud for Arsenal's best chance in Tuesday night's 0-0 draw with the Toffees at Emirates Stadium.

Former Cardiff man Ramsey, who battled his way back to full fitness after suffering an horrific leg break earlier in his career, is happy to play wherever he is needed, but would always elect to operate in the heart of midfield.

He told reporters: "Playing in central midfield makes a big difference. That's my position and that's where I want to play.

"At the beginning of the season I was moving all over the pitch, playing left wing, right wing, right-back. Now I've seemed to cement my place in recent months and I'm playing well so I'm happy with that.

"I'm really pleased. I'm working hard and putting in some good performances. I'm happy. The team is doing well as well, so overall I'm delighted with the way I'm playing and how the team is playing.

"At the beginning of the season I was asked to do a job in many positions, which I'm happy to do for the team. If the manager wants me to play there, I'm not going to say no to that.

"But I've got my place back in the middle and I'm happy with that - my performances have been showing what I'm capable of doing in the middle."

think that puts all doubts over Benteke's quality to bed. Can he do it after receiving the ball to feet, in the box, totally unmarked, on a warm, sunny afternoon in Swindon? Oh yes he can! This year is definitely Liverpool's year. YNWA.

ll very well selling all midfield and strikers but unless we bring anyone in that is better than what we had then it will be a terrible transfer window in my view. Sorted out the defense but our midfield and striker options look very light.

ove it when Jose accuses others of being defensive, cynical and playing to win. If I was Wenger, I'd get that quote laminated and framed - surely the biggest compliment he's ever received from Mourinho. You've got him riled Arsene - you're relevant again!
