Arsenal have confirmed that striker Joel Campbell is to spend the upcoming season on loan in Greece with Olympiakos.

Joel Campbell: Deal agreed for Arsenal attacker to join Olympiakos on loan

The Costa Rica international joined the Gunners in August 2011 but has been loaned out for the past two years to Lorient and Real Betis.

Betis had been keen to take the 21-year-old back to Spain for a second spell but it has now been agreed that Campbell will go to Olympiakos.

He will look to gain further first-team experience before coming back to Arsenal and challenging for a place in Arsene Wenger's side.

Campbell is a key player at international level for Costa Rica and has scored seven goals in 25 appearances since making his debut in June 2011.
