Ramsey riding crest of a wave

Aaron Ramsey says he is 'enjoying' his football at Arsenal after collecting another win and another goal against Stoke City.

Last Updated: 22/09/13 at 18:52 Post Comment

The Wales international took his tally for the season to seven with an early effort in a 3-1 victory at Emirates Stadium.

The 2013/14 campaign is already his most productive in the final third, less than two months in, and the 21-year-old appears to have finally shaken off a horror injury he suffered back in February 2010.

Ramsey is, however, aware of the need to strive for continuous improvement and hopes the confidence flowing through him right now will help to maintain the high standards he has set.

He told Sky Sports: "I'm enjoying my football at the moment.

"I think that's one of the biggest improvements from last season, I'm a bit more composed in front of goal and things are coming off.

"I'm working hard and hopefully I can continue improving."

He added on the Stoke clash: "I think I play a bit different here. When we go away to Stoke, that's different.

"I was surprised today the way they get the ball down now and start to play a bit more. They had some good possession, but overall I think we were solid and deserved the win."

Ramsey helped to win the midfield battle alongside Mathieu Flamini - who put in another faultless display following his return to Arsenal as a free agent.

The combative Frenchman said: "I'm trying. I feel good in the team.

"I think what was important today was the spirit, because we were strong defensively and I think we had quality in the team to make the difference.

"It was a tough game, everyone was a bit tired in the third game of the week, but we are top of the league again, working hard and we have to continue like that."

m only commenting on this (I don't care about Liverpool) because F365's twitter said I had call Matt Stanger a tw*t (which I don't agree with anyway) but I just wanted to be the first. Am I the first?

Trial And Error Rather Than Transition

S

unday, Sunday. Will there be a fan of either team, who if they are winning after 80 mins, won't still be nervous? This could be anything from 0-0 to 5-5, and no one would bat an eye.
