Serge Gnabry: Has impressed since breaking into the first team at Arsenal

The teenage midfielder was on Stuttgart's books before the Gunners swooped to bring him into their academy ranks in 2011.

The Germany U19 international has broken into the first team set-up at Emirates Stadium this season, with injuries to more senior stars playing into his hands.

The youngster has caught the eye during Premier League and Capital One Cup run-outs, netting his first goal in a 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

Stuttgart claim they had been looking to take Gnabry back to his homeland prior to his breakthrough in north London, but accept that the 18-year-old may now be out of their reach.

Director Jochen Schneider told BILD: "It is a fact that he had the chance to return to our club - again over the summer.

"He decided to stay on at Arsenal and try to force his way into their first team. Everyone should respect the decision Serge Gnabry has taken.

"We are still monitoring him and his progress. But there is little doubt that it would be very difficult to re-sign him in the future if he keeps up the good work and turns into an Arsenal regular."

onfirmed. Nick Miller is a douche bag. Lazy, incoherent rant is what this article should be titled. And for the editor to have the temerity to pass this as acceptable writing is shocking. Ah well, anything for clicks right? You got mine. Well done. Your mother must be proud.
