Everton boss David Moyes feels Kevin Mirallas has to become tougher if he is to enjoy a fruitful Premier League career.

Kevin Mirallas: Worries over his toughness says David Moyes

Mirallas has been in fine form for the Toffees in recent weeks, scoring in three of their last four games to keep their outside chances of a place in the Champions League alive.

But he has been plagued a series of minor niggling injuries, which have at times prompted him to signal to the bench during games that he wants to come off.

And Moyes has called on the talented Belgian to start playing through the pain barrier as his form over the remaining weeks will be vital in their hopes of a place in European competition next season.

"He's had a lot of niggles. He's nearly not quite adapted to what the Premier League means and how the games go," Moyes said.

"I look at him and he's signalling to me with 15 minutes to go - so maybe he's not quite got what's required at Everton or the Premier League.

"What he has got in abundance though is pace, ability, he can score goals, he can take you on and he can play in two or three different positions."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
