Vitor Pereira: Named the new head coach of Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli

The 44 year-old Portuguese coach, who guided Porto to the Primeira Liga title last season without losing a league game, will join the Middle East giants on 27 June before starting pre-season two days later.

An assistant to Andre Villas-Boas at Porto during the 2010 campaign, Pereira took over the hot seat when his compatriot left for Chelsea the following term.

In his two years at the helm of the club, he won the league title and Portuguese Super Cup in each season.

Everton were reported to be considered the charismatic manager as they searched for David Moyes' replacement before settling on Roberto Martinez.
