Seamus Coleman: Can't wait to meet new manager Roberto Martinez

Martinez, who left Wigan to replace David Moyes at Goodison Park, will meet his squad at Finch Farm next month ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.

But Coleman has already been quizzing one of his Republic of Ireland team-mates, Wigan winger James McCarthy, on the Spaniard.

"I'm obviously looking forward to the new manager, starting all over again, trying to impress him in pre-season, trying to do all the things right to make sure you're in his team," Coleman told the club's official website.

"I spoke to James about him. He always has good things to say about him.

"Like David Moyes with me, Martinez was brilliant with James, so he obviously has positive things to say."
