Antolin Alcaraz: Everton defender is expected to be out for two weeks

The Paraguay international missed Saturday's 2-0 victory over Norwich City at Goodison Park as a result of the problem.

Alcaraz had recently returned to the Everton side, featuring in the previous three games following a lengthy absence.

The 31-year-old had sat out five months having undergone surgery on a hernia problem sustained in pre-season.

Alcaraz will almost certainly be unavailable for the trip to West Bromwich Albion on 20 January, and could miss the FA Cup tie at Stevenage and the derby clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
