Liverpool will play host to third-tier Notts County in the second round of the Capital One Cup while Merseyside rivals Everton welcome Stevenage to Goodison Park.

Newport, who returned to the Football League last weekend have been given a glamour tie against West Brom at The Hawthorns.

League Two Morecambe will play Newcastle for the first time in a competitive match when the teams meet in the second round.

And Preston have again been paired with Lancashire rivals, this time Burnley, following their victory over Blackpool last Monday.

Holders Swansea are not included in this round of the competition along with fellow European competitors Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Wigan.

The full draw for the second round of the Capital One Cup - ties to be played week commencing 26 August.
