Andrew Johnson scored the only goal as Rangers made the journey back down south with all three points.

Freedman said: "I felt our performance, especially the first half, merited at least a goal.

"We showed great approach play; we're playing against a really top team in QPR and we did very well.

"Their one and only opportunity they've cut us open and they've scored the goal. From then on they've showed a ruthlessness in their defending.

"They're a very experienced outfit, know when to give away 'professional' fouls at the right time and break the game up.

"I'm very proud of my lads' effort, I'm very proud of what they showed."

alcao really needs to shine now. Apparently according to the stats, he scores more when played up front alone. I wonder if Van Gaal will actually apply a formation to get the best out of him though.
