Dougie Freedman: Has seen Bolton hit rock-bottom in the Championship

The Trotters prop up the Championship table eight games into the 2013/14 campaign, with just three points collected so far.

They are one of only two teams in the second tier yet to pick up a win, along with Sheffield Wednesday, and have already shipped 16 goals.

Freedman has fallen under mounting pressure after failing to turn the tide, but the 39-year-old remains defiant and has made it clear that he will not be walking away from the challenge.

He said: "When you're in a professional game and you've worked at a professional level, you don't have that inside you. It's not inside me.

"We turned a lot around last season when we gathered some momentum. We are slipping over in certain matches but we're not falling down."

Bolton's next game will see them play host to fellow strugglers Yeovil and Freedman admits Saturday's encounter at the Reebok Stadium has become a must-win.

He added: "It is a big match and simply a match we've got to win.

"The good thing is that these players can win football matches if they're focused and concentrated for 95 minutes rather than 80 minutes."

ood lord that's got me unnecessarily excited. Damn you Storey. Cut to Liverpool being crushed under the wheels of Sparky's Stoke Machine and Firmino brought off the bench to no effect. It's the hope that kills you.

think he'll do quite well. My only reservation would be Kagawa, who had similar stats to Firmino in the bundesliga before he came, but time will tell.
